Purchasing a new riding partner is a significant investment, both financially and emotionally. A pre-purchase examination helps protect that investment by providing a thorough assessment of the horse's current health, soundness, and overall condition before a purchase is finalized.

Our pre-purchase exams are tailored to the horse's intended use and may include a comprehensive physical examination, lameness evaluation, and additional diagnostics as needed. While no examination can predict every future outcome, a pre-purchase exam can identify existing concerns, assess potential risk factors, and provide valuable information to help buyers make confident, informed decisions.

We are happy to provide pre-purchase examinations for out of town buyers, however, because communication is so essential during a PPE, we ask that the buyer be available by phone during the exam. We do ask the purchasers to fill out this form.

Our goal is to provide you with information to help you to make an informed and comfortable decision on whether or not to proceed with the purchase of the horse in question. We encourage you to speak with one of our veterinarian prior to the exam to discuss any specific concerns you may have. It is ideal for the buyer to be present for the exam if possible.
